Role: Red Hat JBoss Administrator

Required Skillset:

Red Hat JBoss and Red Hat OpenShift

Linux

Must Have:

Red Hat JBoss Administrator responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.

Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup: Deploy and configure JBoss instances in both Standalone and Managed Domain architectures on RHEL

Configuration & Deployment: Manage JDBC datasources, Java Virtual Machine (JVM) tuning, logging subsystems, and messaging resources

Clustering & Load Balancing: Set up and manage application clustering, high availability, and load balancing for enterprise scale





Security & Patching: Apply role-based access control, secure communication (SSL/TLS), and handle regular patch updates on the underlying RHEL OS

Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use management CLI and monitoring tools to resolve bottlenecks, memory leaks, and application deployment failures

Linux Proficiency: Robust grasp of RHEL file systems, user management, networking, shell scripting, and performance tuning

Good-to-Have:

Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration (formerly known as RHCJA) certified Engineer
