Job Purpose

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, courteous, and timely transportation services for guests, management, employees, and company materials. The role also ensures that the assigned vehicle is maintained in excellent condition, complies with all statutory requirements, and reflects The Machan Resorts' commitment to safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation

- Safely transport resort guests, management, employees, and vendors to designated destinations.
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off in accordance with approved schedules.
- Provide airport, railway station, and local transfers as assigned.
- Assist guests with luggage whenever required and ensure a comfortable travel experience.
- Follow designated routes while considering traffic, weather, and road conditions.

Vehicle Maintenance

- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of both the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
- Monitor fuel levels, engine oil, coolant, tyre pressure, battery condition, and other essential vehicle checks.
- Report any mechanical issues, damages, accidents, or maintenance requirements immediately.
- Coordinate scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain accurate trip sheets, kilometre logs, fuel records, and maintenance records.
- Ensure all statutory vehicle documents, including Registration Certificate (RC), Insurance, Pollution Under Control (PUC), Fitness Certificate, Permit, and Driving Licence, remain valid at all times.
- Adhere to all Motor Vehicle Act regulations,



traffic laws, and company policies.

Operational Support

- Deliver official documents, parcels, and materials between the Head Office, resort, vendors, and government offices as required.
- Support procurement and administrative activities involving transportation.
- Be available for emergency transportation requirements and operational support during peak business periods.

Guest Service & Skilled Conduct

- Maintain a courteous, respectful, and professional attitude towards guests and team members.
- Uphold guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Present a neat and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company grooming standards.
- Promote a safe, comfortable, and welcoming travel experience that aligns with The Machan Resorts' hospitality standards.

Qualifications

- Minimum 10th Pass or Higher Secondary (12th Pass preferred).
- Valid LMV/Commercial Driving Licence, as applicable.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of professional driving experience.
- Prior experience in the hospitality, hotel, luxury resort, or corporate sector will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies

- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on road safety.
- Good knowledge of routes in Lonavala, Pune, Mumbai, and surrounding areas.
- Ability to use GPS navigation and route-planning applications.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night shifts as per operational requirements.

Working Conditions

- Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Outdoor work with frequent travel.
- Availability during emergencies and peak operational periods.
