Roles and Responsibilities

- We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cisco Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) with at
- least 15 years of relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess extensive
- knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and solutions, along with a proven track record in
- conducting network assessments. The SME will play a pivotal role in evaluating, designing, and
- optimizing our network infrastructure to ensure efficiency, security, and reliability.
- Responsibilities:
- 1.

Network

Assessment:

- - Conduct comprehensive network assessments to evaluate the current infrastructure's
- performance, security, and scalability.
- - Identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions to enhance the network's efficiency and
- effectiveness.
- - Conduct Network Vulnerability Assessment and Network Hardening assessment.
- - Perform network device configuration assessment.
- - Should have good working knowledge on Network devices including switches, Router, Firewall, Load
- Balancer, VPN Gateway etc.
- 2. Design and Architecture:
- - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain Cisco-based network
- solutions that align with business requirements.
- - Review network architecture and design documents, considering factors such as redundancy, load
- balancing, and failover.
- 3.

Technical

Expertise:

- - Serve as the go-to technical expert on Cisco networking technologies, staying up-to-date with the
- latest advancements and best practices.
- - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers, sharing insights and knowledge to
- enhance the team's capabilities.
- - Monitoring for bank Network Infrastructure devices (Router, Switch, ISE / NAC)
- 4. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
- - Diagnose complex network issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime and
- disruptions.
- - Analyze network performance metrics and recommend optimizations for optimal end-user
- experience.

- 5. Security and Compliance:
- - Implement and enforce network security measures to safeguard against cyber threats and
- vulnerabilities.
- - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data
- privacy.

Documentation and Reporting:

- - Create and review ( if existing ) detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and
- processes.
- - Generate reports summarizing network assessment findings, proposed improvements, and
- project progress.
- - Update incident status to users periodically and as per the communication standards
- - Can work independently with the network SMEs/application owners from the client's side.
- 7.

Vendor

Management:

- - Work closely with Cisco vendors to acquire necessary hardware, software, and licenses.
- - Manage vendor relationships and stay informed about upcoming product releases and updates.
- Location and work timings:
- - Location will be in Bangalore either at our office or at client office for entire duration.
- - Timings will be Mon-Sat from 9.30 am – 6.30 pm.
- - Need to be available to handle any emergency related to network related issue in off working
- hours also if required.
