Oversee the structured disposal process of Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM). This role is critical in ensuring compliance with company policies, maximizing recovery value, making space available for other important inventories, and coordinating seamlessly with vendors, finance, logistics, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage disposal IDs: download current disposal ids as and when required / weekly from disposal system, review items, batches, expiry dates, and documentation.
Obtain Certificates of Analysis (COA) for RM and photos for PM from stakeholders or from system
Check for internal consumption possibility if any
Check for manufacturer COA expiry date extension possibility wherever required coordinate with manufacturer, unit stakeholders
Initiate vendor enquiries, follow up for getting offers, and reinitiate enquiries if required.
Compare received offers against current market rates, calculate recovery %,
negotiate for getting higher recovery percentages.
Align approvals, upload quotes into the disposal system, and track DOA approvals.
Issue sale orders and communicate with vendors and unit stakeholders.
Follow up on advance payments, coordinate with finance, and confirm receipts.
Oversee dispatches with stores and logistics, including freight evaluation and storage, transport conditions requirements.
Prepare weekly pending ID and dispatch reports.
Maintain disposal databases including received offers, recovery records, and dispatch details.
Ensure closure of disposal IDs with invoice uploads and system updates.
Arrange for MS Teams calls for coordination with unit stakeholders on disposal id progress – weekly / monthly.
