Job Purpose

1. To manage Planning and execution of Manufacturing activities of projects related to steel plants.

Key Result Area
1. To plan various manufacturing processes to meet manufacturing dispatch schedules as per contractual obligations.
2. To prepare RFQ after drawing / Design study and technical requirements as per QAP.
3. To monitor, track and report project progress against major milestones.

Key Responsibilities
1. Planning execution of various Mfg. activities, for projects related to steel plant equipment.
2. Drawing/design study for understanding various Mfg. processes involved related technical requirements.
3. Carrying out various SAP functions related to procurement production planning (MM/PP modules).
4. Preparation of RFQ for procurement of various Mfg. components (Fabricated, Machined components) and equipment.
5. Co-ordinating with concern departments or agencies for resolving technical problems or queries observed during pre-procurement phase.
6. Monitoring Tracking of different manufacturing activities like Fabrication, Procurement, Machining, Assembly and Dispatch on a periodic basis.

Coordination with various functions or departments like Purchase / Projects / Design / Production etc.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should be

1. Graduate in Mechanical / production Engineering from a reputed university with 8 to 10 / 10 to 15 years of experience in Mfg. planning execution of heavy machine building industry, preferably with steel plant OEM.

Technical Competencies
1. Positive knowledge of various manufacturing processes of engineering industry.
2. Good knowledge of machine drawings and technical specifications.
3. Hands on experience in SAP (MM/PP) functionalities.

Other Competencies
1. Good Communication Skills
2. Interpersonal Skills ability to Lead a small Team.
3. Ability to Plan execute various mfg. activities for large-scale Projects.
4. Good working knowledge of MS office and reporting tools.
