Role & responsibilities

- Develop and finalize jewellery designs in line with market trends, customer preferences, and business requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing partners to ensure timely development of samples and finished products.
- Monitor product development from design approval to production, ensuring quality, craftsmanship, and design accuracy.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and retail teams to create commercially viable and profitable collections.
- Track development timelines, resolve production issues, and ensure on-time launch of new jewellery collections.

Preferred candidate profile

- Graduation not required - however, a certification or diploma in Jewellery Design will be an added advantage.
- 38 years of experience in jewellery design coordination, product development, merchandising, or manufacturing within the jewellery industry.
- Strong knowledge of gold, diamond, gemstone,



and traditional jewellery manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience coordinating with karigars, workshops, and external vendors for sample and product development.
- Ability to understand design sketches and translate them into finished products while ensuring quality, feasibility, and cost effectiveness.
- Good understanding of jewellery weights, stone setting, finishing techniques, and production timelines.
- Robust follow-up, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to identify design deviations, quality issues, and production challenges.
- Comfortable travelling to vendor locations and manufacturing units as required.
- Proficient in MS Excel and basic reporting; CAD knowledge is optional but not mandatory.
