Job Title: ArcGIS Frontend Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ArcGIS Frontend Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive web-based GIS applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, React, Angular, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices, with the ability to build high-performance, user-friendly geospatial applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain web GIS applications using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
- Design responsive and interactive user interfaces for geospatial applications.
- Integrate GIS services such as Map Services, Feature Services, Geocoding Services, Routing Services, and Geoprocessing Services.
- Work with React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 to build scalable applications.
- Consume and integrate REST APIs and backend GIS services.
- Implement map visualization, layer management, feature editing, querying, and spatial analysis tools.
- Optimize application performance for handling large geospatial datasets.
- Collaborate with GIS analysts, backend developers, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend and GIS-related issues.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility,



and responsive design standards.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
- Follow best practices for frontend architecture, security, and deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Information Technology, or related field.
- Solid experience with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript (4.x).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React.js or Angular.
- Knowledge of GIS concepts, coordinate systems, projections, and spatial data.
- Experience integrating ArcGIS REST APIs and Web Services.
- Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON data handling.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with ArcGIS Experience Builder, Web AppBuilder, or ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Familiarity with Python or GIS backend technologies.
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or cloud-based deployments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to OpenLayers, Leaflet, or other mapping frameworks.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
