We're hiring a Microsoft 365 Migration & Contemporary Workplace Engineer to lead the technical delivery of email and collaboration migrations to Microsoft 365 — from Google Workspace, on-premises Exchange and other platforms. You'll own tenant readiness, identity and security configuration, cutover coordination and end-user support, taking engagements from assessment through migration, cutover and hypercare while keeping disruption low and users productive from day one.

What you'll do

Migration & tenant delivery

- Assess source environments (Google Workspace, Exchange, IMAP) and define the migration approach, schedule and cutover plan
- Configure and verify Microsoft 365 tenants: domain verification, DNS (MX, Autodiscover, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), accepted domains and mail flow
- Execute mailbox, calendar, contact and file migrations using native and third-party tools (Exchange admin center, SharePoint Migration Manager, BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate, Quest)
- Provision and configure Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams with governance policies
- Run incremental synchronization and final cutover, monitor batches, and resolve migration and data-fidelity issues

Identity & security
- Configure Microsoft Entra ID (users, groups, single sign-on, group-based licensing)
- Implement MFA and Conditional Access, block legacy authentication, and enforce least-privilege administration
- Deploy and tune Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (Safe Links, Safe Attachments, anti-phishing)
- Configure Microsoft Purview (DLP, retention policies, sensitivity labels, audit) and harden tenants to the Microsoft security baseline and Secure Score

Cutover & coordination
- Own the migration plan,



cutover plan and RAID log; coordinate workstreams and manage go/no-go and rollback decisions
- Run stakeholder communications, user-readiness and adoption messaging; track scope, risks and change control
- Own knowledge transfer, administrative handover and the completion report; coordinate the hypercare window

Endpoint & end-user support
- Create and validate Outlook profiles, Autodiscover, connectivity and OST synchronization; set up Microsoft 365 Apps on Windows/macOS and mobile clients
- Provide cutover-day and hypercare support, triaging Outlook and connectivity issues
- Support device enrolment via Microsoft Intune / Windows Autopilot where in scope, and produce runbooks and quick-reference guides

What you'll bring

- 4+ years delivering Microsoft 365 / Office 365 migrations and administration
- Hands-on expertise across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Entra ID
- Experience migrating from Google Workspace and/or on-premises Exchange
- Strong with migration tooling (BitTitan/MigrationWiz, ShareGate, SharePoint Migration Tool)
- Identity and security: Conditional Access, MFA, Defender for Office 365, Purview (DLP, retention, sensitivity labels)
- DNS and mail-flow troubleshooting; PowerShell and Microsoft Graph for automation
- Outlook, Microsoft 365 Apps, Windows and macOS endpoint troubleshooting (Autodiscover, OST/PST)
- Clear technical documentation, stakeholder communication and migration-lifecycle coordination

Nice to have: Microsoft Intune / Windows Autopilot and Microsoft Sentinel; SharePoint information architecture and Power Platform fundamentals; Prosci / change-management; ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
