Job Summary

The Senior Manager Distribution will be responsible for managing and optimizing

inventory across C&FA; (Carrying & Forwarding Agent) locations nationwide. The role

involves ensuring uniform product availability based on realistic forecasting and indent

planning, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and preventing stock-out situations

across Central Warehouse (CWH) and CFA locations. The incumbent will play a critical role in

maintaining seamless stock transfers, shipment tracking, and stakeholder communication to

support uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Distribution Management

• Monitor CFA-wise inventory levels and ensure uniform product availability based on

validated forecasts and indents.

• Plan and execute stock transfers from the Central Warehouse (CWH) to multiple C&FA;

locations across India.

• Ensure optimal stock allocation to avoid excess inventory and prevent stock-out

situations.

• Maintain effective replenishment cycles aligned with sales demand and business

priorities.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate closely with the PPIC (Production Planning, Inventory & Control) team to align

dispatch schedules with production plans.

• Collaborate with Sales, Demand Planning, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely

product availability.

• Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders regarding stock movement, shipment

status, and potential risks.

Shipment Tracking & Compliance





• Track dispatches from CWH to CFAs and ensure timely delivery.

• Monitor logistics performance and resolve transit-related issues proactively.

• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Systems & Reporting

• Utilize SAP for inventory tracking, stock transfers, and reporting.

• Prepare advanced MIS reports using Excel to analyze stock movement, inventory health,

fill rates, and distribution efficiency.

• Develop dashboards and analytical reports to support management decision-making.

Risk Management

• Identify potential stock imbalances or supply chain disruptions.

• Implement corrective and preventive measures to eliminate stock-out risks.

• Continuously improve distribution processes to enhance service levels and operational

efficiency.

Educational Qualifications

• Graduate (Mandatory)

• Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage

Experience & Skills Required

• 7–8 years of experience in Distribution / Supply Chain Management

• Preferably from the Generics Pharmaceutical industry

• Mandatory hands-on experience in SAP

• Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Macros,

Dashboards, Data Analysis)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities

• Ability to manage Pan-India distribution operations effectively

• Robust communication and reporting skills
