Reporting to the India to MEG & LATAM Trade Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for process related aspects and commercial animation of India to MEG and/or LATAM sectors with target to develop and maintain processes excellence and support the commercial monitoring activities.
We are looking for a pro-active individual, team player, meticulous, with a robust will to learn & develop its skills in trade activities by joining two of the fast-growing trades from India.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the back-office team in the booking release processes by mastering & optimizing the allocation control tools (CSA, COA, Traffic lights).
- Monitor and analyze vessel performance, loading factors, daily positions, and allocation.
- In-depth analysis of the booking report in terms of commodities, customers, destinations, allocation.
- Proactively source for reliable market intelligence (rates/capacity adjustments) to stay on top of market changes.
- Recommend to the Trade Manager necessary actions to maximize the filing factor.
- Leverage from the groups quotation tools (SpotON, AQUA Contract) to adapt to market dynamics.
- In-depth analysis of the daily cargo readiness report in terms of commodities, customers, destinations, allocation.
- Assist the Trade team in all pricing activities (rate negotiation, rate filing).
- Communicating on a timely basis to the commercial team on service rotation changes, rate revisions, etc.
- Maintain effective relationships & communication with internal & external stakeholders.
KPI
- Adherence of deadlines in submission of weekly reports, CBF and forecasts.
- Accuracy of weekly reports, forecast and CBF.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree holder.
- 3-5 years of working experience in the shipping or / and logistics industry.
- Shipping process-related experience is a plus for successfully managing the position.
- Process oriented, analytics & problem-solving approach is necessary.
