Job Summary

We are looking for a Survey & Research Associate with 2–3 years of relevant experience in survey-based research and data collection projects. The ideal candidate should have a robust academic background in Economics or Statistics and hands-on experience in survey design, questionnaire development, data collection, and the use of Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) platforms. The candidate will support research studies by ensuring high-quality survey implementation and data management.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of field surveys and research studies.
- Develop and review survey questionnaires, schedules, and data collection instruments.
- Support survey sampling, field planning, and survey implementation activities.
- Configure and manage surveys on CAPI platforms such as SurveyCTO, CSPro, ODK, KoBoToolbox, or similar tools.
- Monitor field data collection activities and ensure data quality and completeness.
- Perform data validation, cleaning, and preliminary analysis.
- Coordinate with field investigators, supervisors, and project stakeholders.
- Prepare survey documentation, field manuals, progress reports, and analytical summaries.




- Ensure compliance with project protocols, timelines, and quality standards.
- Provide technical support during pilot surveys and field operations.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of survey methodology and research techniques.
- Experience in survey design and questionnaire development.
- Hands-on experience with CAPI platforms (SurveyCTO, CSPro, ODK, KoBoToolbox, or similar).
- Understanding of sampling methods and field survey operations.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data validation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Mandatory Requirements

- 2–3 years of relevant experience in survey and research projects.
- Degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in survey-related activities, including:

- Survey design
- Questionnaire development
- Data collection
- Field survey coordination
- Use of CAPI platforms

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on government, development sector, or socio-economic research projects.
- Familiarity with statistical software such as STATA, SPSS, R, or Python.
- Experience in data quality assurance and field monitoring.
