- Monthly and quarterly closing of the OPCOs and at consolidated level.
- Ensure Annual Financial Statement of OPCO are prepared as per the applicable local GAAP along with disclosures.
- Management of internal as well as external auditors. Co-ordinate for smooth audit and managing closure of points arising out of audit reviews for the OPCOs.
- Ensure management is aware of any kind of financial risk in the OPCOs by way of continuous review of critical controls, legal/regulatory/tax cases, balance sheet and P&L; items and work towards mitigation of the risk.
- Ensure smooth implementation of changes in accounting standards/policy/processes across OPCOs, work and guide in cross functional teams to achieve changes without impact business, quality or timelines.
- Continuous engagement with OPCOs, Accounting and business finance teams for accounting and control related matters.
Preferred candidate profile
- Incumbent needs to have positive knowledge of closing/consolidation processes and good understanding of IFRS.
- Single point of contact for all accounting related matters of responsible OPCOs.
- As he/she has to make sure that financials are prepared timely and accurately,
incumbent must be thorough with all the major accounting standards (IFRS), policies of the company, processes to have clarity of action.
- Dealing with people who are not directly reportees, influence and lead them to achieve major/critical them for to incumbent but who are directly influencing the quality of work and KRA of incumbent.
- Keep pace with numerous changes which are happening in accounting methodology across industries and especially in telecom sector.
- Making a balance between business requirements and control aspects from audit point of view. The role need to support OPCO teams without losing grip on control.
- Relevant experience - M (3-5 years exp) and Sr Manager (5-8 years exp)
- Chartered Accountant
- A proven ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and often in ambiguous environments, and deliver under tight deadlines
- A successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.
- Understanding of the technology landscape is a plus
- Good written and oral communication skills, and ability to manage multi-stakeholder relations
