1. Objectives:
- To plan, execute, and improve mechanical processes, equipment, and systems in a manufacturing setting to ensure efficient production, optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.
1. Key Responsibilities:
- Production & Process Support
- Support day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets
- Optimize mechanical processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Equipment & Maintenance
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and overhauls.
Design & Engineering
- Review mechanical drawings, layouts,
and specifications.
- Support design modifications to improve machine efficiency and safety.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment selection and technical discussions.
- Quality & Safety
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and SOPs.
- Follow statutory and safety norms (Factory Act, ISO, 5S, TPM).
- Participate in audits and safety inspections.
- Promote safe work practices on the shop floor.
- Cost Control & Documentation
- Assist in cost reduction and energy-saving initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and maintenance records.
- Maintain equipment history and breakdown reports.
- Support CAPEX planning and execution.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, and Purchase departments.
- Prepare MIS reports related to production efficiency, downtime, and maintenance.
- Train operators and technicians on equipment handling and safety.
