Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer Intern will support the design and development of mechanical components and products, contributing to projects from initial concept through to prototype. This internship is a hybrid role based in Kerala, India, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility.

Day-to-day tasks include assisting with CAD modeling, preparing engineering drawings, performing basic calculations, and helping refine designs for manufacturability. The intern will collaborate with senior engineers to review design requirements,



document design iterations, and support prototyping and testing activities. The role also involves maintaining organized project files, preparing easy technical reports, and participating in design reviews to learn best practices in product development.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with an understanding of core engineering principles and materials.
- Skills in Design Engineering and Product Design, including the ability to interpret requirements and translate them into practical design concepts.
- Experience or coursework in Machine Design, including basic knowledge of mechanisms, fasteners, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ability to follow structured engineering processes, pay attention to detail, and document work clearly.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment across in office and remote settings.
- Interest in product development, prototyping, and manufacturability; prior project or internship experience is a plus.
