Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for medical devices, hospital equipment, and special-purpose machinery. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating detailed 3D models and drawings, performing design calculations, and preparing documentation using CAD tools. The role involves collaborating with R&D;, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure designs meet functional, safety, and regulatory requirements,



as well as supporting prototype builds, testing, and design improvements.

The engineer will work closely with clinicians and OEM customers to translate technical and clinical requirements into practical, cost-effective mechanical solutions. This is a full time, on-site role based in Dera Bassi.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering for medical and industrial applications.

Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and Product Design for complex mechanical systems and equipment.

Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for 3D modeling and drafting.

Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

Experience in designing machinery, medical devices, or precision mechanical assemblies is beneficial.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, GD&T;, and mechanical tolerancing is desirable.

Management of CNC Fiber laser machine for optimum use. Ability to interpret standards, work with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple design projects.

Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and safety.
