Role Description The Math Mentor (USA shift) will deliver live online math sessions to learners aged 5–18, following FcC’s curriculum and teaching methodology. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, explaining concepts clearly, guiding learners through problem-solving, and providing constructive feedback on assignments and practice work.

The mentor will monitor learner progress, communicate regularly with caregivers when needed, and update learner records to reflect outcomes and goals. This is a full-time remote role,



requiring consistent availability during USA time zones and the ability to collaborate virtually with the wider teaching and support team.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in school-level and early college-level mathematics, with the ability to explain concepts to learners aged 5–18.
- Experience in online teaching, tutoring, or mentoring, preferably in Math, with skill in facilitating interactive live sessions.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken and written English and the ability to adjust explanations for different age groups.
- Comfort with digital tools and learning platforms, including video conferencing, online whiteboards, and basic productivity software.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment that supports diverse learning styles.
- Robust organizational skills, including lesson planning, time management, and accurate record-keeping of learner progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in math instruction is also valued.
- Willingness to work USA shift hours and maintain a reliable internet connection and suitable remote working setup.
