Position: HCC Coder
Experience:
- HCC Coder (Non-Certified): Minimum 9 months of HCC coding experience
- HCC Coder (Certified): Minimum 1 year of HCC coding experience
Location: Chennai
Notice Period: Immediate joiners and candidates serving notice are welcome to apply.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review medical records to identify patient diagnoses and treatments.
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes.
- Map diagnoses to Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC).
- Ensure coding accuracy and consistency.
- Audit medical records and documentation for compliance.
- Provide feedback to physicians and healthcare providers regarding coding guidelines.
- Educate physicians, providers,
and clinic staff on clinical documentation and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Robust background in medical coding.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Commitment to coding accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and HEDIS CAT II codes.
- Certification Required: Any one of the following certifications is mandatory – CRC, CPC, or CCS.
