About the Role

SMEC Automation is looking for Marine Switchboard Bus Bar Technicians to join our electrical panel manufacturing team in Kochi.

The role involves fabrication and assembly of copper bus bars for Marine Main Switchboards, Power Distribution Panels and other electrical panels .

We welcome both experienced technicians and freshers who are interested in building a career in marine electrical panel manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabricate, cut, bend, drill and finish copper bus bars
- Assemble bus bar systems for marine switchboards and distribution panels
- Read fabrication drawings, GA layouts and related drawings
- Carry out accurate marking, drilling, punching and hole alignment
- Install bus bars inside switchboards as per drawings
- Maintain required clearances, phase separation and workmanship standards
- Support panel assembly, testing and inspection activities
- Follow quality and safety procedures during fabrication and assembly

Experience Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:





- Copper Bus Bar Fabrication
- Marine Switchboard Assembly
- PCC / MCC Panel Assembly
- LT Switchboard Manufacturing
- Electrical Panel Building
- Bus Duct Manufacturing
- Copper Fabrication

Qualification ITI / Diploma in Electrical or relevant technical trade preferred.

Skills We Look For

- Basic knowledge of electrical panel assembly
- Ability to use fabrication tools safely
- Cutting, drilling, bending and punching skills
- Ability to understand drawings , preferred for experienced candidates
- Positive attention to accuracy and workmanship
- Willingness to learn and work in a production environment
