The Kearney Analytics Practice, teams with companies across industries applying advanced analytics to identify opportunities, provide strategic insights, and deliver value. Kearney Analytics consultants:

- Engage directly with clients

• Translate strategic challenges to analytics solutions, problem solve with clients to identify the underlying root problem, and determine the best data enabled, analytical approaches to fit their needs.
- Craft business insights and prove value by applying advanced analytics and data science (e.g., predictive modeling, machine learning, etc.) .
- Uplift client’s data and analytics capabilities, addressing change management and driving transformation.
- Collaborate with technology colleagues who advise, design, and deliver scalable solutions .
- Work across industries, including Retail, Consumer, Health, Chemicals, Automotive, Aerospace, and more.
- Work across functions and domains such as Strategic Operations, Strategic Planning, Top-Line Growth, Marketing, and more.
- Work across solutions such as supply chain design, inventory optimization, growth opportunity identification, marketing optimization, category management, retail footprint and format optimization, demand sensing, and more.

What you'll do...

As a manager, you will operate at the intersection of operations / supply chain and advanced analytics, including the use of optimization, simulation, and predictive analytics to lead the development of various interesting and time-bound use cases and solutions for our clients. This is a high impact and high visibility role within the organization with expectations to deliver immediate results.

Responsibilities include

- Lead and execute regional / global projects from ideation to solutioning including crossfunctional project management, data gathering and transformation, analysis and modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrate a high degree of originality and creativity when developing solutions to improve existing business processes within supply chain using methods such as statistical analysis, regression modeling and mathematical optimization.
- Work independently in a client setting while ensuring deadlines are met and data output is accurate and relevant for our clients. Must also be able to deal with ambiguity and make independent decisions about what data and approach is best for the task at hand.
- Lead the building of scalable and complex supply chain models and processes to optimize supply chain strategies with goals to deliver excellent customer experience while balancing operating cost and asset efficiency.
- Identify areas of opportunity and drive results partnering with cross functional partners, Kearney data engineering teams, and external supply chain platform vendors
- Develop relationships with Kearney functional and industry teams to identify best practices, solicit input/data, coordinate inter-disciplinary initiatives and to gather support for recommendations
- Obtain alignment from relevant business partners and management support for projects and lead discussions to drive change
- Effectively organize, assemble, and use all available resources when given a project to ensure success.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively via email, verbally, and presentations.

Potential projects can include (but are not limited to):

- Providing guidance to Supply chain executives on designing future-state end-to-end supply chain analytics use cases across plan, make, deliver, source including decisions on product portfolio design, the manufacturing or distribution footprint, allocation of manufacturing capacity, supply chain routing, etc.
- Opening, closing, or repurposing retail outlets subject to the specific customer footfall.
- Giving client executives transparency on key metrics that matter across the supply chain (Point of Sale, Orders, Days Inventory, OEE, OAE, DC utilization, UFR, OTIF…) extracted and calculated from core ERP figures and visualized in management dashboards.
- Using data from machines in a manufacturing shop-floor to predict failures / process deviations and thereby develop predictive algorithms to optimize maintenance schedules, downtime etc.




- Optimizing inventory across different tiers of the supply chain network to maximize customer service and minimize lost sales while evaluating tradeoffs with working capital.
- Developing optimized multi-stop vehicle routes with constrained time windows and delivery frequency to design last mile vehicle fleets.
- Developing optimization logic and tool to determine truckload lane strategy for outbound transportation balancing cost and SLA requirementsDevelop analytical models and logic to categorize and predict Unit Fill Rate miss causes in order to suggest proactive actions for improvement.
- Develop granular segmentation and demand forecasting algorithms to predict future customer demand.
- Determining suitable segmentations and forecasting techniques to predict future customer demand.

Who you are

Insightful. Inquisitive. Cooperative. But we’re also looking for analytical problem solvers, and who are always unapologetically themselves. In addition, we look for individuals with the following experience or qualities:

- MBA from a tier-1 institute and 6+ years of post-MBA work experience in supply chain / advanced analytics
- At least 1-2 year of prior work experience as a consulting manager/project lead
- Analytically inclined and loves solving problems
- Experience with capabilities such as:

o Predictive modeling o Machine learning o Data visualization o Sentiment analysis o Optimization modelling

- You should be willing to travel to global/regional client locations when required
- Experience in leading supply chain optimization and predictive models using opensource platforms (e.g., Python, R).
- Experience in Operations Research (Simulation, Mathematical Optimization) and Predictive modeling, with a strong understanding of operations and supply chain
- Experience in leading projects involving commercial and off the shelf modeling tools (e.g., Supply Chain Guru, AIMMS, CPLEX, Gurobi, etc.).
- Experience in supply chain domains and related information systems – distribution/transportation, sourcing, planning, manufacturing and inventory management.
