AREA KEY ACTIVITIES

1. Government & Regulatory Relations

- Build and maintain productive relationships with key government departments at state and district level including Industries, Workplace, Labour, Revenue and Municipal bodies across Maharashtra

- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at state level that impact the organisation's operations and provide timely intelligence and impact assessments to leadership

- Manage liaison with regulatory authorities and relevant statutory bodies

- Support obtaining, renewing and maintaining all applicable licences, permits, NOCs and approvals across Maharashtra

- Represent the organisation in government forums, industry associations and pre-consultation processes

1. Stakeholder & Community Relations

- Manage relationships with industry bodies such as CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM and Maharashtra-specific industry associations

- Coordinate with district administration and local bodies on community-level issues affecting Essars operations

- Support governance and reporting




- Handle media and public relations issues in coordination with the Communications function when related to regulatory or government matters

1. Policy Influencing & Advocacy

- Monitor, analyse and interpret legislative and regulatory developments at state level that could impact the organisation's operations, investments or competitive position

- Develop and present policy position papers, representation letters and advocacy documents on behalf of the organisation to government bodies and industry associations

- Build and maintain the organisation's presence and credibility in government and policy circles positioning the company as a responsible, constructive voice in Maharashtra's industrial ecosystem

- Work with legal and business teams to assess regulatory risk and develop proactive mitigation strategies before policy changes are enacted
