Role Description The Machine Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the machine shop, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of heavy engineering components. This full time, on-site role based in Radaur Tehsil involves planning and allocating work to machinists, monitoring job progress, and resolving technical or operational issues. The supervisor will review drawings and job specifications, coordinate with production and quality teams, and ensure adherence to machining tolerances and delivery schedules.





Additional responsibilities include enforcing safety procedures, maintaining equipment, supervising housekeeping, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in processes and productivity.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong machine shop supervision skills, including team leadership, workload planning, and shift management.

Candidates should possess technical skills in machining operations, CNC/lathe/milling machine setup, and interpretation of engineering drawings.

Candidates should possess skills in quality control, dimensional inspection, use of measuring instruments (e.g., vernier caliper, micrometer), and documentation of production records.

Candidates should possess skills in safety management, compliance with shop-floor safety standards, and implementation of safe working practices.

Candidates should possess skills in communication and coordination, including the ability to collaborate with design, production, and maintenance teams.

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, along with prior experience supervising a machine shop in heavy engineering or manufacturing.

Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies, and familiarity with ERP or production planning systems, will be beneficial.
