- The Editorial Assistant will be part of our editorial support teams with the primary responsibility of managing a set of journals.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the journals through collaboration with editors and publisher staff.
- Guide manuscripts through an online platform from initial submission through to final editorial decision.
- Perform technical and administrative checks on manuscripts for compliance with the journals standard after submission, revision, and acceptance.
- Manage high volume of internal and external e-mail correspondence, providing exceptional customer service to authors, reviewers, and staff.
- Monitor the peer review process with a goal of timely completion of tasks by various stakeholders.
- Prepare accurate,
regular status reports to provide performance overview for key stakeholders
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Science
- Excellent communication (particularly in English)
Required Skills
- Digital literacy: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel
- Candidate must be a team player but be able to work on their own initiative and with minimal supervision
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Possess an enthusiastic attitude, excellent analytical skill and the ability to pay close attention to detail
