Job Summary
We are looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist with 3–4.5 years of experience to ensure compliance with import, export, and international trade regulations. The ideal candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering background with knowledge of mechanical components, product classification, customs compliance, and export control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with global import/export regulations, customs laws, sanctions, and trade policies.
- Classify products using Harmonized System (HS/HTS) codes and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN).
- Perform restricted party screening and denied party checks.
- Prepare, review, and maintain import and export documentation.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct trade compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Investigate and resolve trade compliance issues and regulatory inquiries.
- Maintain accurate trade compliance records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Provide trade compliance guidance and support to internal teams.
Required Skills
- Valuable understanding of import and export compliance.
- Experience in Product Classification (HTS/HS & ECCN).
- Knowledge of Restricted Party Screening and trade compliance processes.
- Understanding of the working principles of mechanical components such as engines, transmission systems, compressors, and basic mechanical elements.
- Ability to understand the functionality and interaction of mechanical components and systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
