Job Title: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Projects

Reporting To: Manager Projects / Head Engineering

Qualification & Experience

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

- 8–12 years of relevant experience in handling projects within API / Pharma manufacturing industry.

- Proven exposure to Greenfield / Brownfield projects, plant modifications, utilities, and equipment installation.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, execute, and monitor capital investment projects (new installations, modifications, and expansions) ensuring timely completion within budget.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production, QC, QA, EHS, Procurement, Finance) to ensure smooth project execution.

- Handle design, specification, procurement, and installation of process equipment, reactors, heat exchangers, piping, HVAC, utilities, and mechanical systems.

- Ensure regulatory compliance (USFDA, EU, GMP norms) while executing projects.





- Prepare and review project documents – URS, datasheets, layouts, BOQs, and project schedules.

- Manage vendors, contractors, and consultants; negotiate techno-commercial terms.

- Monitor project progress with respect to timelines, cost, safety, and quality standards.

- Drive energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives in projects.

- Support plant commissioning, validation, and handover to Operations.

- Maintain MIS, project progress reports, and present updates to management.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, equipment selection, and utility systems in Pharma API setups.

- Hands-on experience with Autocad, MS Project / Primavera for project planning.

- Excellent knowledge of safety standards, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

- Robust leadership, vendor management, and communication skills.

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within timelines
