Role Summary

Byicom Technologies is seeking an experienced OTM Techno-Functional Consultant to join our Oracle Transportation Management practice. The consultant will work on end-to-end OTM implementation and support engagements, bridging functional transportation/logistics processes with technical configuration and customization. The role involves close collaboration with client stakeholders and upstream/downstream Oracle Fusion and APEX applications to deliver robust transportation and fluid/bulk scheduling solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into OTM functional design documents (MD.050) and technical design specifications (MD.070).
- Configure and customize Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) modules including order management, shipment planning, rate management, and transportation execution.
- Design and build data flows between OTM and upstream/downstream systems (APEX, Fusion, OIC) for order, shipment, and status data exchange.
- Develop and support EDI transaction flows (e.g., 204, 990, 214, 210) for carrier and trading partner communication.
- Configure transport modes including Intermodal (INTRMDL) and Bulk Fluid transportation scenarios, along with related planning constraints.
- Support CP/ID (Continuous Move / Itinerary-based) planning logic and optimization configuration within OTM.
- Develop and maintain Doc Scheduling Workbench and related BOL (Bill of Lading), AOP, and PGLS document generation processes.
- Participate in solution architecture discussions, effort estimation, and Statement of Work (SOW) scoping activities.
- Conduct unit testing, support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and resolve defects.
- Prepare and maintain functional/technical documentation, configuration workbooks, and runbooks.
- Provide hypercare and production support post go-live,



including root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including APEX developers and Oracle Fusion consultants.
- Mentor junior team members on OTM configuration and integration best practices.

Required Skills Technical

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) configuration and GC3 (GLog Configuration/Customization Console).
- Experience with EDI standards and transaction sets (204, 990, 210, 214) relevant to transportation/logistics.
- Familiarity with Oracle APEX and Oracle Fusion application landscapes and their interaction with OTM.
- Understanding of XML/XSD, web services (REST/SOAP), and integration middleware concepts.
- Exposure to SQL/PLSQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Required Skills – Functional

- Solid understanding of transportation and logistics domain processes: order management, planning, tendering, execution, and settlement.
- Experience with Bulk Fluid Transportation and Intermodal Domestic order processing scenarios.
- Knowledge of transportation document workflows (BOL, AOP, PGLS) and scheduling workbench processes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and configuration designs.
- Experience supporting UAT cycles and coordinating with business stakeholders on issue triage.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in the food & beverage, dairy, or CPG supply chain domain is a plus.
- Exposure to Agile/hybrid phase-gated delivery methodologies.
- Experience authoring SOW, requirements trackers, and project planning artifacts.
