Role & responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement robust purchasing strategies for direct materials(Castings, Forgings, Plastics, etc.) to achieve sustainable cost savings and quality benchmarks.

Vendor Management: Identify, audit, and onboard high-performing suppliers. Maintain long-term strategic partnerships to ensure 100% on-time delivery.

Cost & Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations for annual price contracts, leveraging market intelligence and raw material indices (LME, etc.) to optimize the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Technical Collaboration: Partner with R&D; and Quality teams to support Recent Product Development (NPD) and ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF16949).

Market Analysis:



Conduct ongoing market research and trend analysis to mitigate supply chain risks and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.

Compliance & Excellence: Ensure all procurement activities align with company ethics, SOPs, and legal regulatory frameworks.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in SAP/ERP (MM Module).
- Deep understanding of Should-Costing and value engineering.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality documentation (PPAP, APQP).

Preferred candidate profile

Industry: Automotive and Automobile sectors experience is highly preferred.

Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering (MBA in Supply Chain is a plus).
