Role Description The Line Inspector role is a full-time, on-site position based at Hi-CON's facility in Rajkot. This role involves inspecting castings and components on the production line to ensure they meet defined quality standards and specifications.
The Line
Inspector checks dimensions, surface finish, and overall product integrity, and records inspection results in standardized formats. Day-to-day tasks include performing visual and basic dimensional inspections, identifying defects, segregating non-conforming parts, coordinating with production and quality teams to address issues, and supporting root-cause analysis for recurring problems. The role also requires maintaining inspection equipment in good working condition,
following safety and company procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform visual inspections and basic dimensional checks using gauges, calipers, and other standard measuring tools.
- Understanding of basic quality standards, inspection procedures, and documentation practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with casting processes or metal components manufacturing, preferably in investment casting or related industries.
- Attention to detail, ability to identify defects and inconsistencies, and robust problem-solving approach to production issues.
- Basic reading of technical drawings or work instructions; ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams on the shop floor.
- Willingness to work on-site in Rajkot and handle standing, manual checks, and repetitive tasks in a production environment.
- Relevant technical education (e.g., ITI, diploma, or equivalent in mechanical or production-related fields) and prior experience in line inspection or quality checks in manufacturing are preferred.
