Role Overview: We are seeking a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer with deep experience building HIPAA-compliant healthcare applications. You will own the core backend infrastructure and the internal clinical dashboard, ensuring seamless management of longitudinal clinical workflows, care-plan routing, and automated triage queues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and scale our backend using Medplum (FHIR-native TS framework) deployed on secure AWS infrastructure.
- Enforce strict security, identity management, and comprehensive audit logging within the BAA-covered PHI data store.
- Develop and maintain the Navigator Dashboard, a high-performance React Single Page Application (SPA) utilized by clinical care navigators for triage, EPDS scoring, and marketplace referral routing.
- Collaborate with AI and integration engineers to expose robust endpoints for automated workflows.
Requirements
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Languages & Frameworks: Expert-level TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
- Healthcare Domain: Deep understanding of FHIR resources (R4), HIPAA compliance standards, and managing PHI in cloud environments.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Proficient with AWS services, secure IAM configurations, and cloud deployment pipelines.
- Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to digital health or health-tech platforms.
