The Software/Platform Engineer will play a crucial role in development and maintenance of software development solutions within a defined system, platform or product, based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency acrost the enterprise data, reduce risk and promote efficiencies in support of the organization's goals and objectives. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions that drive business value and innovation.
Software or Platform engineering role will work on a single application or roles that support platforms, SaaS, COTS.
Responsibilities :
- Build modern data platform/lake components on cloud.
- Analysis and design of data pipelines that bring in various internal and external data into the data lake in the cloud based on the business use case.
- Design and development of data marts that make large volumes of data from the data lake accessible to business analysts and data scientists.
- Deliver solutions in an agile delivery model.
- Implement transformation and data quality rules using modern transformation tools and languages for data to conform to enterprise guidelines.
- Deep understanding of various stages of data model in the data platform (medallion architecture) etc. and implement it accordingly.
- Ways of Working – Adoption of the Agile ways of working in the software delivery lifecycle and continuous learning of recent methods and technology
