Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Developer to join our Alliances IT team in DTH Bangalore. This role will lead cross-domain development coordination efforts across Delta's internal IT domains and external partner airline systems (Joint Venture partners and SkyTeam). The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a passion for AI-driven innovation, and hands-on experience in building Agentic AI-based solutions aligned with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and enterprise standards.
This is a strategic and hands-on role that will help increase operational data visibility, optimize architectural decisions, and drive the development of scalable, intelligent IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-Domain Development Leadership
- Coordinate development efforts across multiple internal IT domains and external airline partners.
- Ensure seamless integration and interaction between Delta's systems and partner airline IT platforms.
- Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners.
- AI Innovation-Based Solution Development
- Envision, prototype, and build Agentic AI-based solutions to enhance operational data visibility.
- Integrate AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and vibe coding environments for accelerated development.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and evolve them into production-ready applications.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and apply them to solve complex business challenges.
- Cloud & Architecture Innovation
- Design and develop cloud-native solutions using AWS and Microsoft Azure, ensuring compliance with Model Context Protocol (MCP) guidelines.
- Leverage AWS Developer CLI for productive deployment and automation of cloud-native applications.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of IT architecture within Delta's IT domains.
- Implement responsible AI principles and enterprise governance for ethical AI deployment.
- Innovation & Organizational Engagement
- Drive innovation through participation in hackathons, innovation labs, and cross-functional ideation sessions.
- Advocate for modern engineering practices and scalable design principles.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with global teams including Delta's internal IT domains, JV partners, and SkyTeam alliance members.
- Contribution to Matrix Domain Development
- Contribute towards matrix domain team development to continuously enhance and extend functionality for seamless check-in experiences across Delta and partner systems.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7-12 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Proven experience in building and deploying Agentic AI solutions or intelligent agents.
- Strong expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and cloud-native solution development.
- Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience working in cross-functional, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with airline operations or travel industry systems is a plus.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI, Hugging Face).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer) and vibe coding environments.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, fine-tuning LLMs, and agentic AI orchestration.
- Exposure to data engineering, real-time data processing, and vector databases.
- Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience with MLOps, continuous integration for AI models, and AWS Developer CLI for automation.
