Job Purpose

Support the legal advisory function for the Corporate Finance division of GMR Group, assisting in transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financing agreements until financial closure. Assist the Manager / Head Legal Counsel in legal and regulatory compliance to safeguard the interests of the group and sectors.

Key Accountabilities & Performance Indicators

Drafting & Negotiation of Legal Documents

- Draft and finalize security agreements, ensuring security creation.
- Negotiate legal documents until transaction closure.
- Ensure pre-commitment and pre-disbursement compliance.

Key Performance Indicators:

- Timely execution of legal agreements.

Intellectual Property Portfolio Management

- Trademark registrations & renewals.
- Initiate legal actions against IP infringements.
- Ensure compliance with IP laws and timely registration/renewals.

Key Performance Indicators:

- Number of successful registrations/renewals.
- Timely legal action against infringers.

Litigation & Legal Research

- Conduct case law research to support litigation.
- Provide legal advisory services for corporate and business transactions.
- Draft and review vendor agreements, sale & purchase contracts, leave & license agreements.
- Review and negotiate NDAs for investors and advisory purposes.

Contract Management & Aero-related Transactions

- Negotiate, draft, and finalize aero-related contracts with domestic and international airline operators.
- Ensure contractual compliance with Concession & License Agreements entered into by GHIAL.




- Monitor and drive 100% compliance for contracts.

Key Performance Indicators:

- Timely execution of contracts.
- Compliance with Concession/License Agreements.

Legal Support & Compliance

Provide end-to-end legal support for:

- Procurement & Contracts
- HR & FMS
- Security & Control
- CISF & PSF issues under Concession Agreement
- Contract Management – Revenue & expenditure contracts.
- Legal support to BE, QSD, CMS departments, and SPG legal matters.
- AOP management and timely execution of work.

Knowledge Management Contribution

- Research and publish legal articles related to corporate finance & regulatory compliance.

- Maintain turnaround time for document closure and query resolution.

Educational Qualifications

- LLB / Bachelor of Law
- MBA or LLM (Preferred)

Relevant Experience

- 12+ years of experience in a reputed law firm or corporate legal counsel role.
- Expertise in fundraising transactions, including debt, equity, mergers, divestments, demergers, acquisitions.
- Solid knowledge of Companies Act, SEBI regulations, FEMA regulations, RBI circulars, and notifications.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
