Work Location: Kochi/Trivandrum Skills – Mandatory Accounting / Finance module business analysis and product ownership - Chart of Accounts, journals, sub-ledger to General Ledger posting, payables, receivables, reconciliation, fiscal period close.

Familiarity with procurement, inventory, sales and service transactions post into accounting.

Documentation - FRD, user stories and acceptance criteria. Valuable communication.

Own the accounting requirement area of the product, working with the Product Manager and the client Product Owner.

Run requirement discovery workshops with the client team and convert the outcome into process flows and requirement documents.

Elicit and finalise accounting requirements and publish them as FRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria.

Define and maintain the accounting integration design for every upstream and downstream module - Procurement, Inventory, Sales and Order-to-Cash, Service, Warranty and Master Data.

Maintain the accounting dependency and impact document as a managed, current artifact, and keep the applicable extract inside each FRD and user story.





Carry out impact analysis whenever a change is raised in accounting or in a connected module, and communicate the outcome to the product, architecture, engineering, QA and client teams.

Work with the architecture team on data model, integration and reporting decisions that affect accounting.

Review FRDs and user stories of other modules for accounting impact before they go into development.

Groom the backlog with the development and QA teams and take functional decisions during sprints.

Plan, allocate and review the work of the BAs / product analysts supporting the accounting area, and build their depth in the domain.

Drive resolution of cross-module accounting issues found in testing and UAT - trace the issue back to the transaction, the posting rule or the master data.

Plan and run UAT with business and finance users. Support go-live, migration of opening balances and open items, and the first period close on the new system.

Track progress, risks and dependencies for the accounting scope and escalate early.

Build and maintain the accounting glossary and domain knowledge base for the team.
