Role Description The Kitchen Steward & Food & Beverage Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards in kitchen and service areas, while also supporting food and beverage service operations. The role ensures that all kitchen utensils, equipment, and dining areas are clean and well-maintained, and assists in delivering efficient and high-quality customer service in food and beverage outlets.

Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Stewarding Duties

Wash, clean, and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and equipment.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, floors, storage areas, and waste disposal zones.

Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Collect and dispose of kitchen waste in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.





Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

Support loading and unloading of kitchen supplies and deliveries.

Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic support tasks as required.

Report maintenance issues, equipment faults, or safety hazards to supervisors.

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and kitchen consumables.

Food & Beverage Service Duties

Assist in serving food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.

Set up dining areas, tables, and service stations before and after service.

Greet and attend to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Take basic food and beverage orders when required.

Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks from kitchen to service areas.

Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in dining and service areas.

Support cashiering or billing processes if assigned.

Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and escalate when necessary.

Follow all service standards and hospitality guidelines.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Prior experience in a hotel, restaurant, café, or catering environment is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and customer service standards preferred.

Skills Required
