Role Description This full-time, on-site Junior Doctor role is based in Bagalkot.
The Junior
Doctor will be responsible for conducting patient consultations, performing clinical examinations, documenting medical histories, and assisting in diagnosis and treatment under the supervision of senior clinicians. Daily duties include ordering and interpreting basic investigations, prescribing medications as per protocols, monitoring patient progress, and updating medical records accurately. The role involves coordinating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, participating in ward rounds, and supporting emergency care when needed.
The Junior
Doctor is expected to follow hospital guidelines, uphold high standards of patient confidentiality, and contribute to quality improvement and clinical audit activities.
Qualifications
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Solid clinical assessment skills, including history taking, physical examination, and basic diagnostic reasoning.
- Knowledge of common medical conditions, standard treatment protocols, and basic emergency care procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate and clear medical documentation, including electronic health records where applicable.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical medical practice, patient safety, and confidentiality.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends or evenings as required, and adapt to a busy clinical environment.
- Interest in continuous learning, openness to feedback, and participation in clinical teaching or training sessions.
- Prior internship or clinical rotation experience in hospital settings is preferred but not mandatory.
