KEY AREA TASK Requirement
- Planning monthly cyclic menu for patients and staff along with the Chef
- Inspect meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance
- Food Tasting for each meal period
- Briefing for meal dispatch and resolving issues occurred during services towards the patients
- Coordinate with Chef for planning menu's for special occasions for Patients & for VIP Patients
- Food Services & Dietary Menu planning and accountable for Tube feeding patients & special care patients needs
- Checking on the Tube feed diets and the preparation for the same
- Managing a cost effective food production operation, distributing high quality meals/snacks, and monitoring sanitation and safety standards in a food service setting
- Surveys food preparation and distribution for protected practices ensuring variety, adequate seasoning, visual appeal, proper temperature, and appropriate portion sizes
- Coordinates all dietary activities in the facility,
acting through the food service supervisors and dietary technicians
- Executing consulting practices to provide expertise in nutrition, as well as promote health and prevent disease, Plans between-meal nourishments for patients as necessary
- Consulting and planning dietary menus to special patients on the client requests
Dietary Counselling
- Creating workshops for Patients, Teams in regards to specific Health awareness days and conducting dietary talks
- Working with individuals, groups, and work places to provide dietary advice for healthy living to working staff and patients too
Reports
- Maintaining RT registers (RT distribution and wastage)
- Food Tasting registers (IPD & Covid)
- IPD Diet Registers
- Counselling reports
- Compiling all diet slips and preparing a diet/meal consumption chart of patients as per diet
- Making Dietetics Obeya Report
- Meeting ward doctors & nurses
