Role Description The Junior Design Engineer will work on-site in Ahmedabad in a full-time capacity, supporting the design and development of sheet metal components and assemblies. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and modifying CAD models and drawings, preparing fabrication and assembly documentation, and collaborating with senior engineers and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. The role involves interpreting client requirements, supporting prototype development, troubleshooting design issues, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and standards.

The Junior Design

Engineer will also help maintain design files,



adhere to safety and quality guidelines, and contribute to timely project delivery.

Qualifications

Proficiency in mechanical design tools such as CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and basic knowledge of 3D modeling and drafting standards.

Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, material properties, tolerances, and manufacturing methods relevant to industrial applications.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standard design documentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support design validation, basic calculations, and troubleshooting of production-related design issues.

Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, production, and quality teams in an on-site environment.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.

Basic familiarity with quality and safety standards in manufacturing; prior internship or project experience in fabrication or mechanical design is an advantage.

Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a quick-paced industrial setting.
