Role Description The Junior Accountant role is a full time, on-site position based in Trivandrum. The selected candidate will assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.

Responsibilities include preparing and processing invoices, supporting accounts payable and receivable activities, and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports.

The Junior

Accountant will help monitor expenses, support inventory-related accounting for farm operations, and ensure accurate documentation of financial records. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams, supporting audits and compliance activities,



and contributing to the improvement of accounting processes under the guidance of senior finance staff.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar tools) and good working knowledge of MS Excel for financial data analysis.
- Ability to handle accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, expense tracking, and financial documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of local tax regulations, GST concepts, and compliance requirements relevant to small and medium-sized businesses in India.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, operations, and management teams in a fast-paced agricultural and retail environment.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
- Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related field; professional certifications or ongoing accounting studies are an advantage.
