About Us
We are a dynamic team of young engineers, domain experts, and seasoned sales professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive turnkey solutions for complex challenges in Signal Processing. Our expertise spans the cutting-edge technologies in Signal Processing, addressing critical needs in the Defence and Aerospace sectors. Our offerings encompass a wide range of solutions, from tactical radios and radar systems to extensive research and mission-critical applications.
about the role
We are looking for a Junior Embedded Software Engineer to support Processing System (PS) and Linux platform development for our next-generation RFSoC and Versal-based aerospace systems. Working alongside senior engineers, you will contribute across the software lifecycle—from board bring-up and boot configuration to building PetaLinux images and developing device drivers—helping ensure robust operation of the ARM Cortex-A53/A72 and Cortex-R5 subsystems on Zynq UltraScale+ and Versal Adaptive SoCs. This is a hands-on learning role with robust mentorship and room to grow.
Responsibilities Platform & BSP Support: Assist in building and maintaining the Board Support Package (BSP) using Vitis, PetaLinux and Yocto Project; help create custom layers/recipes and configure the kernel under guidance for ZCU208, VCK190, or custom RFSoC/Versal hardware.
Driver Development: Help develop and test Linux kernel modules and user-space I/O (UIO/VFIO) drivers that interface with PL peripherals, supporting DMA and interrupt handling.
Multi-Processing (AMP): Contribute to AMP implementations using OpenAMP and Libmetal for communication between the Application Processing Unit (Linux on A53/A72) and Real-Time Processing Unit (FreeRTOS/Bare-metal on R5).
RFDC & Versal Integration: Assist in developing software and API wrappers to configure RF Data Converter (RFDC) blocks or Versal AI Engines, supporting initialization, calibration,
and data streaming.
Boot & Security: Help configure the boot flow—First Stage Boot Loader (FSBL), PMU Firmware (MPSoC) or Platform Loader and Manager (PLM, Versal)—and gain exposure to secure boot methods (RSA/AES, eFUSE).
System Performance: Support profiling and tuning of Linux performance (CPU scheduling, memory, network stack) for high-throughput data streams.
Qualification
Core Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s in VLSI, Embedded Engineering, ECE, or Computer Science, with 3–5 years of experience in Embedded Linux on ARM-based SoCs (Zynq MPSoC/RFSoC or Versal a plus).
Embedded Linux Foundations: Working understanding of Linux kernel concepts, device tree (.dtsi), U-Boot, and exposure to the Yocto build system (bitbake, recipes, layers).
Programming: Solid proficiency in C and C++ for embedded/multi-threaded programming; familiarity with Python/Shell for build and test scripting.
Processor Architecture: Foundational knowledge of ARM Cortex-A/Cortex-R architectures (MMU/MPU, cache, exception levels); willingness to deepen in TrustZone and related areas.
Hardware Interface: Basic familiarity with reading schematics and standard peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet); eagerness to learn bus-level debugging.
Employee status and commitments
Permanent full-time position located at our Hyderabad office, with regular on-site visits to clients and vendor locations.
Why join US?
