Software Incubator Private Limited, a US-based Company working at Karyavattom is looking for young, dynamic individuals who are ready to innovate and explore the possibilities as a Database Administrator.

:

- Responsible for overall availability of databases and associated systems, using currently available commercial enterprise relational database management systems.
- Effectively uses database replication, security, and availability solutions in designing and implementing Database solutions.
- Must be able to use platform-specific, as well as enterprise, monitoring tools to provide fault and pre-fault performance notifications.
- Provides platform-specific performance tuning, installation and configuration guidance and expertise.
- Monitors and manages back-up and recovery, and capacity planning for all Database Platforms

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Database Technologies-Utilizes currently available commercial enterprise relational database management systems.

· Database Implementation- Effective use of database replication, security, and availability solutions

· Database Monitoring- Effective use of platform-specific, as well as enterprise, monitoring tools to provide fault and pre-fault performance notifications.

· Database Management Provide platform-specific performance tuning, installation and configuration.

· Monitoring and management of back-up and recovery, and capacity planning for all database Platforms.





· Communicates effectively verbally, and in written form.

· Carries and responds to off-hours communications device, in order to provide 24x7 support for systems for which they are responsible.

· Actively pursues opportunities, as an individual and as part of a group, to improve knowledge, tools and processes for systems under management

Education and Skillset:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 0 - 1 Year of experience in database administration, database architecture, or in a related field.
- Solid understanding of database design principals.

· Proficiency with SQL

· Solid Database design skills, Schema/Table modeling

· Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.

- Database certifications & Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) would be an added advantage.
- Expertise in data migration across various MySQL versions.

· Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues.

· Strong analytical and research skills.

· Willingness to learn and become an expert in Database Management and other related technologies.

· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced workplace and prioritize the most critical tasks and projects

· Should be Results Driven.

· Excellent coordination and communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving/analytical skills.
