Role Description The Journalist Intern role at AGUN is an internship position with a hybrid work arrangement, with some flexibility for work from home. The intern will assist in researching and developing news stories, conducting interviews, and gathering information from diverse sources. Day-to-day tasks include drafting news articles, preparing press releases, supporting broadcasting content for digital platforms, and collaborating with senior journalists on story development.





The intern will also help with basic video or audio preparation for online publishing and participate in editorial meetings to pitch and refine story ideas.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess robust Writing and News Writing skills for clear, accurate, and engaging storytelling. (In Bengali)

Candidates should possess Research skills to gather, verify, and analyze information from multiple sources.

Candidates should possess skills in Press Releases for crafting concise and professional communications.

Candidates should possess Broadcasting skills for contributing to video, audio, or online news formats.

Strong command of English and Bengali, with the ability to report on regional and socio-political issues.

Basic familiarity with digital journalism tools, social media platforms, and online publishing workflows.

Attention to detail, ethical judgment, and an interest in public-interest journalism.

Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
