What you'll do

Common to all levels

- Build and maintain backend services in Java (17+) with Spring Boot
- Design and consume REST APIs; write clean, tested, reviewable code
- Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL / Oracle / MySQL) schema, queries, indexes
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and production support rotations
- Write unit and integration tests; treat them as part of "done", not an afterthought

Associate Engineer (Entry) additionally

- Pick up scoped tickets CRUD endpoints, bug fixes, data-migration scripts under mentorship
- Learn our codebase, branching model, CI pipeline, and deployment process
- Write and improve test coverage on existing modules as a way of learning the domain
- Document what you build

Software Engineer (Junior) — additionally

- Own a feature or module end-to-end: design note implementation tests release support
- Break down requirements into tasks and give estimates you can stand behind
- Debug production issues using logs, metrics, and traces; write the postmortem
- Integrate with third-party and government APIs (payment gateways, SMS/WhatsApp, identity, departmental systems)
- Review juniors' pull requests

Senior Software Engineer — additionally

- Own the design of a service or subsystem: data model, API contracts, failure modes, scaling plan
- Make and defend build-vs-buy and architecture trade-offs; write design documents
- Lead a pod of 3–5 engineers on delivery; run technical grooming and design reviews
- Drive performance, security, and reliability — profiling, query tuning, caching strategy, threat modelling




- Interface directly with client technical teams and government IT counterparts during UAT, security audit, and go-live
- Raise the engineering bar: coding standards, CI/CD improvements, mentoring

What we're looking for Must have — Associate Engineer (Entry)

- Solid grasp of Java fundamentals: OOP, collections, exceptions, generics, streams
- Working knowledge of SQL — joins, aggregates, basic normalisation
- Understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, and how a web request actually travels
- Git basics
- Academic projects, internships, or a public repository we can look at
- Genuine willingness to learn and be corrected

Must have — Software Engineer (Junior) Everything above, plus:

- 1.5+ years building production Java applications with Spring Boot
- Spring ecosystem in practice: Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA / Hibernate, Spring Security basics
- Comfortable with Maven or Gradle, and with a CI pipeline
- Debugging skills — you can find the cause, not just the symptom
- Exposure to containers (Docker) and at least one cloud platform

Must have — Senior Software Engineer Everything above, plus:

- 5+ years in Java, with meaningful time on systems that have real users and real uptime expectations
- Microservices design in practice — service boundaries, inter-service communication, idempotency,



distributed failure handling
- Messaging / async processing: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent
- Performance engineering: JVM tuning, connection pooling, N+1 query elimination, caching (Redis)
- Cloud deployment on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, ALB, IAM) or equivalent; comfort with CI/CD and infra-as-code concepts
- Security-aware development: OWASP Top 10, authn/authz design, secrets handling, audit trails
- Demonstrated technical leadership — mentoring, design ownership, or client-facing technical responsibility

Good to have (any level, and a differentiator)

- Experience with government or public-sector delivery — STQC audits, VAPT remediation, MeitY/GIGW compliance, GeM procurement
- React or another up-to-date frontend framework
- Python or Node.js as a secondary language
- Kubernetes, Terraform, observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Working with LLM APIs or agentic frameworks
- Domain exposure: public safety, healthcare, BFSI, or ERP/data integration

Qualifications B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline. Strong candidates from other backgrounds with demonstrable engineering ability are welcome to apply — we care what you can build.
