Oracle PL/SQL + APEX Developer (10+ Years)

Role Summary:

We are looking for an accomplished Oracle Apps + APEX Developer with over 10 years of experience in building secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications. In this role, you will leverage Oracle APEX and PL/SQL to design and deliver modern business applications, data dashboards, and API-integrated systems for critical operational functions.

This is a technical role with the prospect to take ownership of application design, performance optimization, and UI/UX development using the latest capabilities in Oracle APEX.

Key Responsibilities:

- Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications for transactional systems, dashboards, data workflows, and reporting. The person should be well conversant with Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflows and related development tools.
- PL/SQL Engineering: Build and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers to implement core business logic.
- API Integration: Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP-based web services to integrate APEX applications with other enterprise systems.
- Front-End Customization: Enhance application UX/UI using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and dynamic APEX actions.
- Security & Governance: Implement APEX authentication, authorization schemes, and role-based access controls following security best practices.
- Reporting & BI: Design and deploy reports using APEX Reports and BI Publisher for analytics and business insights.
- Quality & Performance:



Perform thorough unit testing, participate in peer code reviews, and conduct performance tuning and optimization.
- Documentation & Support: Maintain clear technical documentation and provide post-deployment support, ensuring application reliability and scalability.

Core Technical Skills:

- Oracle APEX (20.x or newer) – Interactive Grids, Charts, Plug-ins
- Oracle PL/SQL – Advanced database programming, tuning, and debugging
- Web Technologies – JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
- Web Services – REST APIs, SOAP, JSON/XML parsing
- BI Publisher, Oracle Reports (basic knowledge preferred)
- SQL performance tuning and APEX session monitoring tools.
- Oracle EBS R12 – Strong knowledge of schema for Financials and SCM modules
- Oracle Workflow Builder – Workflow customization and integration
- XML Publisher – Report development and template design
- Oracle Forms/Reports – (Desirable for legacy support)
- Performance tuning – SQL trace, explain plans, optimization best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Comp Sc Engineering, or related field
- Certifications:
- Oracle APEX Developer Certification (strongly preferred)
- Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional (nice to have)

- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Autonomous Database (ATP)
- Familiarity with DevOps workflows, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for APEX deployment
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based development cycles
