Experience:

Minimum 6+ years proven experience of managing large enterprise level VMware Environment.

Responsibilities: The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

- Working in an enterprise environment providing operational support by building, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere version 6.x and higher.
- Working with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Nutanix (Prism Central, Prism Element, AOS, NCC, Foundation, LCM), UCS vSAN, vROPs, vLog Insight, VRO.
- Handling of routine mundane tasks using PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, Ansible and such automation tools/engines.
- Troubleshooting and Upgrade of VMware, Nutanix UCS Components hands on experience using command line on all platforms. Valuable troubleshooting skills and experience on log analysis.
- Builds, deploys, maintain and assist with repairs of VMware servers/hosts on racks, blades, and hyper converged infrastructures.
- Clear understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NIC Teaming and distributed switches.
- Working understanding of SAN, NAS, NFS, VMFS, iSCSI.
- Experience in VMware Guests, Templates, P2V, Capacity Planner, VMotion, HA, DRS, etc.
- Good Understanding of Virtual infrastructure security Hardening compliance including certificates for the overall virtualized environment.




- Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues Patch management, administration, and deployment. Maintaining standard ESXi image configuration.
- Experience in performance tuning of VMware servers, Virtual sessions, and management of server resources between virtual machines
- Experience on Dell, Intel, Cisco, HP Servers and associated management tools like, Dell OME/SAE, HP OneView.
- Working with Enterprise Backup Restore Processes (Familiarity with Cohesity Appliance).
- Good Understanding of ITIL Processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management) and operates within agreed SLAs good documentation skills with regular focus on maintaining KEDB/KMDB.
- Maintaining skills to the current industry level of certification.
- Basic understanding on cloud service platforms and concepts around the same.
- Self-motivation and strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are key attributes for this position.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines (work under pressure and prioritize tasks)
- Bachelor s degree in computer science/Management Information Systems or equivalent experience preferred
- VMware Nutanix certification is preferred.
