Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an Application Infra Management Engineer . The role focuses on identifying, tracking, and decommissioning on-premises infrastructure associated with applications that have been retired as part of firmwide cloud migration initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Identify and catalogue NAS storage, CPU allocations, and object storage associated with decommissioned applications.
- Analyze infrastructure data and generate reports using Excel and internal tools.
- Coordinate with application owners to obtain approvals for infrastructure removal.
- Raise and manage Change Requests for decommissioning activities.
- Work closely with Storage, Compute, and Platform teams to execute infrastructure decommissioning.
- Track project progress, escalations, and deliverables using Jira.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Automate operational activities using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Drive process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.





Preferred candidate profile

- 36 years of experience in Infrastructure Operations, Linux Administration, Production Support, or Infrastructure Management.
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix Administration.
- Knowledge of NAS, SAN, NFS, File Storage, or Object Storage technologies.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Change Management, and ITIL processes.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Bash, Shell Scripting, or PowerShell.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments is preferred.
