Job Title: IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) Consultant with strong technical expertise in CMOD architecture, indexing, content storage, search and retrieval, and migration solution design. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with IBM OnDemand implementations and should be capable of independently designing and delivering scalable, efficient, and robust CMOD migration solutions, including line data migration and cloud migration to AWS.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding CMODs underlying architecture, metadata and content storage mechanisms, relevant tables and data structures, and end-to-end indexing, extraction, storage, and retrieval processes. This role requires robust technical ownership, solutioning capabilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal dependency on client or leadership teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, implement, and support solutions using IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD).
- Develop a strong understanding of CMOD architecture, including the internal workings of search, retrieval, indexing, storage, and content management processes.
- Analyze and manage how metadata, index information, and content are stored within CMOD, including relevant database tables and data structures.
- Work hands-on with various file types and ensure efficient indexing, storage, extraction, and retrieval of content within CMOD.
- Design and implement end-to-end line data migration solutions, including data indexing and extraction to or from CMOD.
- Develop scalable and robust migration strategies for CMOD modernization and transformation initiatives.




- Design and support CMOD migration to AWS, ensuring data integrity, performance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Independently own migration solution design and technical delivery with minimal dependency on client teams or leadership.
- Participate in IBM OnDemand implementation activities, including solution design, configuration, integration, deployment, and support.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective CMOD architecture and migration solutions.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and performance challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ensure migration solutions are scalable, efficient, maintainable, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, infrastructure teams, database teams, and cloud teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to project and support teams.
- Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, performance optimization, and continuous improvement activities related to CMOD applications.

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD).
- Deep understanding of CMOD architecture and internal processing mechanisms.
- Strong knowledge of CMOD search, retrieval, indexing, extraction,



and content storage processes.
- Experience working with CMOD metadata, database tables, data structures, and content repositories.
- Hands-on experience handling different file types within CMOD.
- Strong experience in line data indexing, extraction, and migration.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end CMOD migration solutions.
- Experience with IBM OnDemand implementations.
- Experience in AWS cloud migration or cloud-based CMOD modernization initiatives.
- Strong solution architecture, technical design, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to independently own technical solutions and drive delivery with minimal supervision.
- Experience designing scalable, efficient, secure, and robust migration strategies.

Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with AWS cloud services relevant to application and data migration.
- Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and application deployment.
- Experience with database technologies and SQL.
- Knowledge of enterprise content management, archival, and document management systems.
- Experience with application modernization and legacy system migration.
- Exposure to production support, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) development, implementation, architecture, or migration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
