Company Description Aashraya is a social impact initiative under PANHA where individuals come together to create meaningful change through consistent, compassionate action. The community supports old age homes, orphanages, underserved communities, women’s safety initiatives, LGBTQ+ communities, and animal welfare.
Beyond traditional volunteering, Aashraya focuses on listening, showing up, and reminding people they are not alone. Volunteers are encouraged to lead social impact projects, connect with purpose-driven people, and experience the personal growth that comes from helping others.
Role Description As a Human Resources Volunteer at Aashraya, you will support the volunteer community by assisting with onboarding, coordination, and engagement of members in a remote capacity. This volunteer role involves helping design and maintain HR processes, supporting documentation related to policies, and contributing to the fair and inclusive treatment of all volunteers.
You may assist in scheduling and communications, maintain volunteer records, and help address questions related to participation and benefits such as learning opportunities or recognition programs.
Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with core team members, contributing to HR-related initiatives that strengthen community culture, and supporting activities that make volunteering at Aashraya organized, welcoming, and impactful.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Human Resources (HR) and HR Management to support volunteer lifecycle and engagement.
- Ability to understand and contribute to HR Policies that promote fairness, inclusion, and non-discrimination.
- Experience or interest in Personnel Management and coordinating volunteers or teams.
- Awareness of Employee Advantages or volunteer benefits frameworks, such as recognition, learning opportunities, and well-being support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and communities.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Commitment to social impact, empathy, and ethical conduct; prior volunteering or community work is an advantage.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (email, online collaboration platforms, spreadsheets) to manage information and communication.
