Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end HR function for The Fern Residency Mumbai and collaborating with stakeholders at The Acres Chembur and Saries by Marriott as required. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing recruitment and onboarding, ensuring accurate payroll and benefits administration, and maintaining employee records in line with company policies and local regulations.

The role leads performance management processes, supports learning and development initiatives, and partners with department heads to forecast staffing needs and workforce planning.

The Human Resources

Manager also handles employee relations,



facilitates conflict resolution, promotes a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and ensures compliance with labor laws and brand standards. Additionally, this role contributes to policy development, HR reporting, and continuous improvement of HR practices to support business goals and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in employee relations, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management to foster a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding processes within hospitality or service-oriented environments.
- Knowledge of performance management, training and development, and succession planning to support staff growth and retention.
- Proficiency in HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS usage, and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Solid understanding of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, and organizational policies applicable to hotel and club operations.
- Solid communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or HR certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role, preferably within hotels, hospitality, or service industries.
