Job Summary The HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Human Resources functions within the hotel. The role ensures that HR strategies support business objectives while fostering a positive work culture, maintaining statutory compliance, driving employee engagement, and ensuring the availability of competent talent to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Prepare and execute the annual manpower plan.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for all departments.
- Coordinate interviews with department heads.
- Ensure timely onboarding of new employees.
- Build relationships with hospitality institutes and recruitment partners.
- Maintain an active talent pipeline for key operational positions.
- Ensure quality hiring based on competency and cultural fit.
2. Employee Onboarding & Induction
- Conduct orientation and induction programs.
- Complete joining formalities and documentation.
- Coordinate departmental induction schedules.
- Ensure smooth integration of current employees.
3. Employee Relations
- Build a positive and engaging workplace culture.
- Address employee grievances fairly and confidentially.
- Counsel employees and managers on workplace issues.
- Promote teamwork and employee satisfaction.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends.
4. Performance Management
- Coordinate probation reviews and confirmations.
- Support annual performance appraisal processes.
- Guide managers in setting KPIs and development plans.
- Monitor performance improvement initiatives.
5. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs across departments.
- Prepare the annual training calendar.
- Coordinate statutory and behavioral training.
- Monitor mandatory training compliance.
- Evaluate training effectiveness.
6. Payroll & Attendance Coordination
- Verify attendance, leave, and overtime records.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with Finance/Corporate HR.
- Ensure salary processing timelines are met.
- Resolve payroll-related employee queries.

Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, including:
- Shops & Establishments Act
- Minimum Wages
- EPF
- ESI
- Payment of Bonus
- Payment of Gratuity
- Maternity Benefit
- POSH compliance
- Contract Labour regulations (where applicable)
- Standing Orders (if applicable)
Maintain all statutory registers, notices, and documentation. 8. HR Administration
- Maintain employee personal files and HRIS.
- Issue employment letters, confirmation letters, transfer letters, and experience certificates.
- Maintain employee records with complete confidentiality.
- Prepare monthly HR reports and MIS.
- Manage HR documentation and audits.
9. Employee Engagement
- Plan employee engagement activities.
- Organize festivals, recognition programs, and celebrations.
- Drive employee wellness initiatives.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys.
- Implement reward and recognition programs.
10. Disciplinary Management
- Handle disciplinary matters professionally.
- Conduct domestic enquiries where required.
- Issue warning letters and disciplinary notices.
- Maintain proper documentation.
- Ensure disciplinary actions comply with company policies and labour laws.
11. HR Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare departmental budgets.
- Monitor recruitment costs.
- Control manpower expenses.
- Track training expenditure.
- Recommend cost optimization initiatives.
12. Coordination with Department Heads
- Support department heads in manpower planning.
- Advise on employee performance issues.
- Assist in succession planning.
- Facilitate workforce planning.
13. HR Analytics & Reporting
Prepare periodic reports including
- Recruitment Status
- Attrition Analysis
- Manpower Report
- Vacancy Report
- Joining vs Separation
- Leave Analysis
- Overtime Analysis
- Training Hours
- Employee Engagement Metrics
- Compliance Status
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources
- MSW (HR) or equivalent qualification preferred
Experience
- Minimum 04 years of HR experience in the hospitality industry.
- Minimum 2 years in an HR Manager or Assistant HR Manager role.
- Experience in hotels, resorts, or luxury hospitality is preferred.
