An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Supervisor in a coal mining environment is responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to safety regulations, procedures, and environmental best practices throughout the mining operation. This role involves overseeing and enforcing safe work practices, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and promoting a robust safety culture among employees.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensuring Compliance:

The HSE Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental regulations, company policies, and industry standards are followed.

- Risk Assessment and Control:

Conducting and reviewing risk assessments, identifying hazards, and implementing appropriate controls to mitigate risks.

- Workplace Inspections:

Regularly conducting inspections of the mine site to identify unsafe conditions, equipment, or practices and ensuring corrective actions are taken.

- Incident Investigation:

Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.

- Safety Training and Awareness:





Providing safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors, promoting a positive safety culture.

- Emergency Preparedness:

Developing and implementing emergency response plans, conducting drills, and coordinating emergency response efforts.

- Environmental Monitoring:

Monitoring environmental conditions, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and implementing environmental management practices.

- Contractor Management:

Ensuring that contractors and subcontractors adhere to HSE standards and policies.

- Documentation and Reporting:

Maintaining accurate records of inspections, incidents, training, and other HSE-related activities, and reporting any issues to the appropriate authorities.

- Communication and Collaboration:

Communicating with management, employees, and other stakeholders to promote safety awareness and address HSE concerns.
