About the Role

We are seeking a HSD Project Manager (Mechanical) to lead the delivery of the HSD fuel infrastructure package on a mission-critical data centre build. You will own the installation of underground diesel storage tanks, fuel transfer and distribution pipelines, day tanks, pumping and ltration systems, and the associated leak detection and monitoring systems from site mobilisation through statutory clearance, integrated testing and handover to operations. This is a hands-on site role for an engineer who is equally comfortable in a trench, in front of a welder's qualification record, and in a client progress review.

What You Will Do

Review GA drawings, P&IDs;, isometrics and hazardous-area classification drawings; close design gaps through RFIs before mobilisation. Prepare and secure approval for Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans, lifting plans and Job Safety Analyses. Drive statutory compliance PESO/CCOE petroleum storage licence, fire NOC and local excavation permissions ahead of the fuel-filling milestone. Supervise excavation, shoring, dewatering, anchor slab casting and tank lowering; verify anti flotation provisions against site groundwater conditions. Inspect tanks on receipt, including coating holiday tests and pre-installation tightness testing of primary and interstitial spaces. Control pipeline fabrication through approved WPS/PQR, qualified welders, weld mapping and NDT coordination (visual, DPT, RT). Oversee installation of transfer pumps, filtration and fuel polishing skids, valves, containment piping, supports and flexible connections. Deliver the detection scope interstitial and sump leak detection, ATG level probes, overfill prevention, hydrocarbon detection and verify the cause-and-effect matrix with BMS, FAS and DG control interfaces.



Lead hydrotesting, tank calibration, flushing, first fill, functional testing and support to DG load bank and integrated system testing. Enforce the permit-to-work regime for excavation, hot work, confined space and lifting; own gas testing, static bonding, spill containment and fire watch discipline. Raise WIRs at every ITP hold point no backfill or buried piping covered without inspection clearance. Track progress against the micro-schedule, manage manpower and material planning, and support measurement, RA billing and variation documentation.

Compile and hand over the closeout dossier: test packs, NDT and calibration certificates, licences, as-builts and O&M; manuals, including operator training

What You Will Bring

B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 5 -10 years in MEP or industrial piping execution, including 2 - 3 years on fuel oil / HSD systems. Working command of NFPA 30, NFPA 37, NFPA 110, ASME B31.3, API 650, UL 142/2085, IS 1642 and Petroleum Rules 2002. Proven ability to read and execute from P&IDs; and isometrics, and to control welding, NDT and pressure testing on site.

Solid documentation discipline and comfort dealing directly with client, PMC and statutory inspectors. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera, and MS Excel

Preferred

Data centre or other mission-critical project experience. NEBOSH or IOSH certification; confined space and work permit training. Exposure to commissioning of ATG and leak detection systems integrated to BMS .

Work Environment

Full-time site deployment with exposure to excavation, confined space and hot work environments. Extended hours during testing, commissioning and integrated system testing milestones are expected. Strict adherence to site HSE protocols and PPE requirements is mandatory
